One interesting feature of the new Singapore MRT Map is the inclusion of prominent landmarks and water bodies. For example, you can see the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel structure located beside Bayfront MRT Station, so that it is more easily identified as landmark and referenced.
The brown-coloured Thomson-East Coast Line (first 3 stations) are scheduled for opening next month (January 2020). Free travel will be available in the first 3 days after the line opens.
